A glimpse into Summer Jam camp!

Summer Jam and Swim camp got off to a musical start at Edgewater Athletic Club this past week as campers learned about the instruments in the orchestra. This week's theme, "Our Orchestra," featured a different family of instruments each day.

During Woodwind Day, we colored instrument pages, crafted bottle flutes that we tried to play, and sang and danced along to music from our talented counselors who are professional musicians. We even had a visit from a flute player and got to check out her instrument, as evidenced in these pix.

When you add swimming in the afternoon, this is a full-day of learning, play and activity that is bound to tire out the most energetic kid!

This coming week we're going to be learning about the music of a different culture each day at "Our World" camp. You can see the entire schedule and learn more about each week's theme here. There are still spots available during most weeks!
